EMERGENCY BAIL BONDS
-- DON'T BE MISLEAD BY OTHERS!! ASK FOR ME..... REV MIKE!!!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS...
Q. What is the procedure for bailing somebody out of jail?
Once you call Emergency Bail Bonds, we will ask a series of questions to assess the situation. (THIS CAN ALSO BE DONE BY EMAIL, FAX OR OVER THE PHONE) Upon approval, you will be required to complete some paperwork including a Bail Bond Application. When payment has been received we will appear at the Clerk of Courts to post the bond for your friend or Loved One. We serve Delaware, Franklin and all Surrounding Central Ohio Counties! We are licensed to post bonds anywhere in the State of Ohio. We can also check for outstanding warrants that can be covered by a bond to prevent immediate arrest.
Q. What if I'm out-of-Ohio and need to bail a family member, employee or friend?
Over the years we have developed a very simple way to help in this situation. After gathering pertinent information (e.g. contact name, address, phone number, email, employment/retired information, Social Security Number and copy of your valid State ID or Driver License) we will prepare the Bail Bond Application and email it to you for your return with signature before a NOTARY PUBLIC in your state. Upon return of the NOTARIZED Application and payment of all premiums & fees then the Surety Bond will be posted with the appropriate Court in the State of Ohio. NOTE: depending upon circumstances, a collateral cash amount may also be requested to hold until conclusion of the case.
Q. Do I get any of the money back?
If you elect to use a Bail Bond Company, the money paid to the Agent/Agency is the Premium for the Insurance Policy. Regardless of the disposition of the defendant, there is NO REFUND OF SURETY BOND PREMIUMS. If the Judge allows you to pay the 10%, and you meet the credit qualifications of the Court and pay the cash amount of the bail to the Court directly, some of the money will be returned to you when the case is finished.
Q. Am I required to pay the full amount all at once?
Emergency Bail Bonds is required by law to CHARGE & COLLECT the full 10% Premium and "court fees" for the bond; however, we understand that families do not always have the full amount. We will be happy to work out a payment arrangement with you. Please understand, however, that bail bonding is serious business and failure to pay the balance due on a surety bail bond can result in charges being filed against the Indemnitor (signer on the application for the Surety Bail Bond) for Insurance Fraud and/or Theft by Deception. Emergency Bail Bonds accepts Cash, Personal/Business Checks, Money Orders and payment directly through the banking system via ZELLE to MICHAEL KIRKLAND (614) 352--7918. (We can also take payment via VISA, MASTERCARD and Your CASH APP numbers...PLEASE NOTE WITH CARDS, THERE IS A 10% TRANSACTION FEE) Emergency Bail Bonds will be happy to work out payments that you can afford and there is never a fee charged for financing.
Q. What will the Surety Bail Bond cost?
All bail bond Agents & Agencies are regulated by the Ohio Department of Insurance. We are required by law to CHARGE & COLLECT a 10% Premium for the cost of the bond. The 10% Premium is NON-REFUNDABLE regardless of the disposition of the defendant. So, if the bail is set at $10,000 by the Court then the 10% Premium charged by the company is $1,000. In addition, there is usually a "court fee" or "state fee" that is required and it must also be paid. This fee can range between $25 and $110 depending upon the Court and the type of charges.
Q. Why should I use Emergency Bail Bonds?
At Emergency Bail Bonds we know that you've come to the best place for help with your friend or Loved One. "We are parents just like you," we had four sons and have been in situations just like you. Our business is built upon solid God given Principals and we will NOT COMPROMISE anything that will jeopardize being able to help you. MOST IMPORTANTLY...WE PRAY FOR OUR DEFENDANTS AND THEIR FAMILIES EVERY DAY! Please give us a chance to help you in your time of urgent need.
Q. Why don't folks simply pay the bail directly to the Court?
Most people don't have the full cash amount of the bail to give the Court. Many people don't "qualify" or meet the credit qualifications required by the Court...this usually means adequate cash in checking or savings accounts and/or property owned within the County. The Clerks will ask to see copies of current Bank Statements and proof of wages. Usually, retired persons will not qualify to post a bond with the Court. Some people DO NOT want to give personal or financial information to the Court and would rather deal with a Bail Bonding Company. All information given to Emergency Bail Bonds remains in the strictest of confidence & privacy for the purchaser of the Surety Bail Bond. Remember the old saying all around..."Buyer Beware."
Q. When does a bail bond forfeiture take place?
Applying for a Surety Bail Bond is very serious business on the part of the purchaser and the defendant! When a defendant misses a court date, this will result in an automatic BAIL BOND FORFEITURE. A Warrant will be issued for the defendant's arrest and the bail amount must be immediately paid to the Court or the bond must be reinstated. Emergency Bail Bonds will help you through this process should it occur
Q. So what exactly is a Surety Bail Bond and how does it work?
A Surety Bail Bond is a specialized type of Insurance Policy that guarantees the Court that the bail amount will be paid in the event that the defendant does not appear as required at all scheduled Court Hearings. The 10% Premium PLUS court costs is required to post the bond. The Indemnitor (signer on the surety bond) is legally responsible for all Premium payments due. Premium payments are a "condition of the bond" and failure to pay or keep any payment arrangements with the Bail Bonding Company will result in revocation of the bond and charges being filed. If the defendant "jumps bail" and fails to appear, ignoring the Orders of the Court, this will incur a new FELONY CHARGE!
Q. What about "shopping around" for the best bail bond price?
The American Free Enterprise System allows for just competition in professions. It is the "American Dream" to own a business and serve others. With Surety Bail Bonds there is no difference; however, once you hear an agent say "I can do it for this price" or "you don't have to pay a balance" YOU BETTER BEWARE! All Licensed Surety Bail Bond Agents & Agencies in the State of Ohio are REQUIRED BY LAW to charge & collect the 10% Premium as mandated by the Ohio Department of Insurance! Payment Options are one thing... and are allowed by Law...but to simply charge a lower premium or say "nothing further is due" IS AGAINST THE LAW! If you participate, you break the law as well.
Q. How can I be sure that I'm dealing with a reputable Agent or Agency?
There's never a way to be 100% sure...but association membership can point you in the right direction! Agents and Agencies belonging to the OHIO STATE BAIL BOND ASSOCIATION are "selected" members...by invitation only. This means they hold to the highest degrees of ethical & moral standards. OSBBA membership means they put the Defendant, their families and friends first!
